Medical Qigong
Medical Qigong is one of the four branches of Chinese Medicine. While acupuncture, herbs and massage are better known by the public, Medical Medical Qigong also has a long history and application in promoting health and strengthening the body/mind/spirit. As in all the branches of Chinese Medicine, Medical Qigong is a complete system that addresses the needs of the individual and treats the whole person, targeting the root of the disease while creating balance and harmony for the patient.
Qigong treatments remove pathogenic toxins from the channels and the organs, preventing the progress of the stagnant energy into a disease. It stimulates the immune system as well, building a person's health and wellness. If a person comes in for treatment prior to the onset of symptoms but committed to being in the best health possible, there is the potential to achieve a greater level of wellness and prevent disease. Treatments strengthen and regulate the internal organs, nervous system, and immune system, relieve pain, regulate hormones, and address stress and emotional upsets.
Between sessions, Eve will prescribe supportive Qigong exercises that use movement, breathing, sound, creative visualization, and spiritual intention.
Receiving Medical Qigong does not preclude allopathic medical care or alternative treatment. This work also does not interfere with homeopathic treatment, chiropractic care, or bodywork. It is preferred to treat a person after the other sessions in the same week. This allows the medical qigong to move the person to the next level of health and wholeness.
Eve feels a deep commitment to offer classes on different medical qigong practices that promote health. Beginners are always welcome. Check the calendar for the latest schedule.
